Hello! My name is George and I have been the proud owner of a 1966 Mustang Coupe for nearly 10 years now. Like many of you, I am a first time classic car owner. I love tinkering and doing small projects to make her run well & look good.
At the peak of covid, during the lockdowns - fuel prices were low and the roads were empty. I would regularly go out cruising, often at night. That's when I realized the shortfalls of my headlights. They were dim. They would flicker. They strained my alternator making it whine. One time they actually failed on a dark night!
I decided to upgrade to LED headlights, but after looking at all the options out there I realized - I could make better headlights!
It's taken a year from idea to production. During this time I not only thought of everything I wanted in headlights for my own vintage car, but I also spoke with 100's of classic car owners to figure out what YOU guys wanted.
After all this, I am very proud to give you Bangin' Headlights, the best damn headlights you could put in your classic car!
Our Motivation & Commitment
My philosophy at Bangin' Headlights is simple - I do not want to sell you anything I would not be happy to put on my own car.
I know the feeling of receiving a quality part in the mail - you open the box and you can smell the new part even before you touch it. When you lift it, it feels solid and heavy. The powder coating feels good, you know it's going to work well even before you install it.
That's the feeling we want to give you with every headlight that leaves our workshop doors.
The Bangin' Headlights Story
Last year I was looking for LED headlights for my '66 Mustang. I was sick of my crappy halogens, but didn't want to replace the wiring or do anything major.
But I was shocked by how expensive the current options were. Plus they were all using really old technology - reflector technology instead of projector technology which is found in the best cars made these days.
So I started a project to make headlights that achieved 3 key things:
1 - Look Completely Stock & Suitable For Classic Cars
Many other options look too futuristic and out of place.
2 - Use the Latest Technology
Our lights are based on current projector technology that produces a sharp & focused beam of light. Some others just put an LED bulb in a reflector style headlight body made for halogens - as a result the light are blinding for all other drivers and usually don't have better lighting either.
3 - Keep the Price Realistic
Just like you, I find classic car part companies ripping us off with high prices, poor quality and parts on backorder. That was part of the motivation for me to start Bangin Headlights. So I will keep prices fair even though I believe my lights are better than the others out there.
